My first time shooting Shag Rock (now known locally as Shag Pile) since the earthquake. That's it on the left, you'd be forgiven for not recognizing it now, it's changed a bit... For a comparison try [link] titled "Enduring". Haha that title has become more than a little ironic, hasn't it?

The colors and composition are simply brilliant. The flow of the water and the reflection of the sunlight sucks you right in and guides your eyes towards the rocks in the background. Definitely shows that getting up early can certainly be worth the while!

What I'd give to take a walk there. I can't put a finger on it, but this photo really gives me different feeling that the rest of sunrises/sets photos I've seen so far. There's something really special about it.
