A storm cloud dumps rain onto the ranges surrounding Omarama, Otago, while light breaks through the clouds, forming a partial rainbow.
Only half an hour after shooting my last submission ([link]), we were treated to another amazing show of light, just out of the small township of Omarama. I freaked out when I saw how the rain was falling from the cloud and pulled the car over the first opportunity I got, worried it was going to disappear before I could get any shots! Turns out it stayed for quite a while and I got a few variations on this, could possibly have made it to a closer viewpoint where I didn't have to zoom in as much! Oh well, maybe next time
Māori for "Place of Light", Omarama sure lived up to it's name...
Not entirely convinced on the processing of this one, any tips from others would be appreciated, as well as any general feedback... thanks!
